I am writing this review to thank you and your staff for the excellent service and care you provided for me.  As a veteran with disabilities, I had received hearing care at other places previously, but nothing compared to the level of professionalism and personalized service that you provided.

From the moment I walked in your door, I felt welcomed and supported. You took the extra time to truly listen to me and provide the right aides and devices to deal with my hearing loss and tinnitus. You also were extremely supportive and helpful in dealing with veterans’ affairs coverage and finances.

Having the right care and great follow up service has improved not just my quality of life but my family’s as well.  Many people do not realize how much hearing loss and tinnitus can affect your life and relationships.  I was irritable and isolating myself, avoiding interactions and gatherings. This behaviour was creating relationship and communication issues. I and my wife have noticed a huge difference in several ways. My sleep and energy level has improved and I am not irritable or isolating myself, but engage in family interactions and conversations.

So again, thank you so much for your excellent service and care that has greatly improved my quality of life.

Dear Dr. Corbett,
I just wanted to express my appreciation for the concern, kindness, and excellent treatment that I received from you and your staff.  There are not many places that would have taken me in right away, addressing my concern about losing all my hearing in one ear.  It was very reassuring to know that your staff was equally knowledgeable and sensed this was a time sensitive issue.
It was a very big and worrisome surprise to learn that my sudden hearing loss in my right ear was such an immediate and urgent issue.  I had no idea.  I am grateful that you took over and eliminated my anxieties by calling the specialist on my behalf, sending a report over to my clinic, and referring me to emergency as I could not get in to my doctor due to the long weekend.  If it was not for your immediate response, I would not have received the necessary referral to see the specialist and have the procedure and medication needed to control the hearing issue.  
I am happy to report that I have all my hearing back.  You and your staff went above and beyond for me.  Thank you so much.  I am ever so grateful!

My experience with my new hearing aids is wonderful.  I am very pleased and surprised!!  I have been wearing hearing aids for the last few years, but these replacement hearing aids have surpassed my expectations!!  They are easier to put in and my hearing quality is much better.  I can hear better and I do not get words mixed up or miss anything around me.  I did not know how much of difference in my life that hearing aids could make.  Sounds I could not hear before are now possible.   At first this was a frightening experience, but as I realized what each sound was, I began to enjoy the world around me so much more.  There is a whole new world out there with the ability to hear (birds and cricket sounds, frogs, toads etc.) and I no longer need to have the volume up on our TV requiring those around me to holler to be heard.  I cannot stress how much something so simple and small can enhance your quality of life.

My new hearing aids are the best thing that has come into my life.  I cannot express how wonderful it is to hear properly and how comfortable and easy they are to put in and wear.  I would recommend these hearing aids to anyone who has hearing loss.  You do not realize how much you miss out on.  ‘WOW!!!’ is all I can say.

I hope in doing so it will encourage more people with hearing loss to come in and see you all at Quesnel Hearing Centre.  I want to thank you for all the support and the quick and efficient manner in which my hearing aids have been fixed and now replaced with a much better quality hearing aid.  I cannot thank you enough for the world they have opened up for me.

My family had said that they thought my hearing was not overly good anymore and I also have tinnitus in both ears, so I decided to get another hearing test.  After getting the Opn1 hearing aids and having them adjusted for my specific hearing loss, I’m finding that there is a whole new world out there, as I was unaware as to how much hearing loss I actually have.  I have occasionally left the house without them on and now I really notice how bad my hearing is!  I feel that it would be very worthwhile for anyone struggling with hearing loss to give them a try. I am really impressed as to how they have helped me!

Amazing!  When I put on the Oticon Opn miniRITE hearing aids, my world of hearing came alive! I have had several hearing aids over the years, all of which provided assistance with my hearing, but none reached the clarity and ease of listening that these new Oticon aids have given me. Music is once again enjoyable; I want to listen!  My grandchildren’s school plays and concerts are delightful. Voices are clear at normal volume levels and with the surround scanning feature I more easily participate in group conversations without simply “pretending’ that I understand what is said. My friends and family appreciate the new aids as much or more than I do – truly a remarkable achievement in hearing aid technology.  As they say in their brochure, ‘Everything you need to stay connected’. Thank you Oticon! And Thank You Dr. Shelley Corbett, Audiologist at Prince George Hearing Centre, for helping me to ‘Experience the Difference’ in advanced hearing possibilities.

I recommend to everyone I run into who has any form of tinnitus, to see you [Shelley] for hearing testing and look into getting treatment. Whether you have had tinnitus for a short or long period of time, there is relief. It has made a total difference in my life and I cannot say enough good things about it.  I don’t know how else to say that the information you shared and the hearing aids have made a true impact on my life.

Since my car accident, the high pitch tones and fuzz tones in my head became overly annoying. Trying to focus was next to impossible as I could not get past the sounds that I was hearing.  Having my hearing tested was suggested by my doctor due to new ringing I was experiencing. Finding out that I have lost some higher frequency hearing was rather upsetting, but understanding what tinnitus is and that I am not going crazy was helpful.  

When you suggested that I try demo hearing aids, I could not believe that a hearing aid would assist with my Tinnitus. With a wide choice of sounds programmed into the hearing aids, my ringing and fuzz were gone (well not entirely gone, but it was not prominent in my head any more). The sounds that were put into the hearing aids were just below the ringing, and my brain was easily able to cancel out the sound, therefore also canceling out the ringing and fuzz.

The difference the hearing aids have made in my quality of life is leaps and bounds from what I ever thought possible. Living daily without the annoying ringing and fuzz sounds has allowed me to feel like I never had the tinnitus. Nightly when I take the hearing aids out, I actually have moments of peace and quiet (it’s worth looking into sleeping assist units recommended for me as well).
